That’s when these chocolate almond butter protein balls come in handy. Seriously, they are so rich, creamy, delicious, and packed with protein! Did I mention they are easy to make and have NO artificial sugars? Also, you won’t need a food processor for this recipe.

What You Need
These almond butter protein balls have just 5 ingredients:
- Plant based protein powder (I use Vanilla Plant Fusion)
- Almond butter
- Other nut Butter of your choice
- Cocoa powder
- Cacao nibs or dairy-free chocolate chips (Enjoy Life mini chips work best)
This recipe is extremely versatile and customizable, so if you don’t have almond butter, sub any other nut butter. If you don’t like chocolate, omit it, and use chia seeds instead. Or, sub hemp or flax seeds. Super easy!

Almond Butter Protein Balls with Chocolate
Try these vegan chocolate almond butter protein balls instead of a protein shake! With just 5 ingredients, they're super easy to make, and no processor required!
Ingredients
- 1/2 scoop plant-based protein powder (Plant Fusion)
- 1/4 cup almond butter sub any other nut butter, or sunflower butter
- 1/2 cup other nut butter
- 1 tbsp cocoa powder
- 1 tbsp cacao nibs or dairy free chocolate chips
Instructions

Mix nut butters together with hands.

Fold in protein powder gradually.

Once fully mixed, add cocoa powder and mix together.

Fold in cacao nibs.

Divide dough into 6 portions, and roll into balls with your hands.

For extra texture, roll in cacao nibs (or chocolate chips, chia seeds, flax seeds, etc.)

Store in refrigerator.
