Grandma's "Our Daily Bread" Award Winning recipe for gluten free apple cobbler
Mix flour, salt, baking powder, and sugar together.
Beat eggs, add shortening, and mix well.
Add eggs and shortening to flour mixture.
Add milk and mix until well blended.
Spray a 13x9x2 inch pan with vegetable spray and put a 1 inch thick layer of sliced apples in pan.
Pour 3/4 cup of sugar mixed with 2-3 tablespoons of gluten free flour over apples.
Dot with pats of butter.
Sprinkle nutmeg over fruit.
Put dough over fruit.
Bake at 350 degrees, 40 minutes, or until done (browned).
Boil water.
Mix flour and sugar together; add to water, then add butter and nutmeg.
Boil until clear and done.
Pour warm sauce over warm cobbler and enjoy.
